Kendall Square/MIT: Innovation Playground

MIT’s Office of Government and Community Relations invites the greater Cambridge community to “Kendall Square/MIT: Innovation Playground,” an interactive HUBweek showcase of art, science, and technology in the most innovative square mile on the planet. The event will feature cutting-edge hands-on activities for all ages starting at 12:00 pm, culminating in a groundbreaking ceremony at 5:00 pm to mark the start of construction of the Institute’s newest graduate student residence hall. The interactive activities will continue until the event wraps up at 8:00 pm. The groundbreaking ceremony will also celebrate the installation of a community-based mural along Main Street in the heart of Kendall Square — created by the Community Art Center’s Teen Media Program. A reception will follow. As a HUBweek Spoke Event, all activities are free and open to the public!
