Good news America. Manufacturing is not dead in the USA. Today, factory output is 40 percent greater today than in 1998, albeit with 5 million fewer workers .  All this is being accomplished at well-managed companies that are implementing new technologies and introducing new products while running Continuous Improvement (CI) programs like Lean and Six Sigma, reducing costs, improving profits and helping firms grow.

This workshop will review the benefits of Lean and Six Sigma programs and discuss the key tools with each program (e.g., TAKT time, 9 Wastes, Balanced Lines, Kaizen, Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Process Capability). Both programs are commonly used in the Manufacturing sector in Military, Banking, Insurance, Retail, Government and in Healthcare. The two programs are in high demand by employers for cost saving activities, improved quality, and reduced lead times.

Key Benefits for Participants:

  • Gain an understanding of Lean and Six Sigma, today’s entrance pass to work in manufacturing and healthcare.
  • Learn the key tools of Continuous Improvement and how they’re used in today’s workplace
  • Learn how continuous improvement methods are reshaping manufacturing, financial services and health care
  • Gain an understanding of the different levels of  training (Black, Green and Yellow Belt) and the project work required to become certified in Lean-Six Sigma
  •
