Our Annual Gala recognizes innovators from the business, institutional, and non-profit communities who are truly affecting change in Cambridge and beyond. This special evening is an opportunity for the Cambridge business community to celebrate these change agents and their extraordinary impact on improving the lives of others.

2026 Visionary Awardees:

AstraZeneca – Its state-of-the-art R&D Center in Kendall Square represents one of the most significant investments in scientific research and innovation in the City of Cambridge. The facility further strengthens Greater Boston’s position as a global hub for world-class science and innovation and serves as a cornerstone of AstraZeneca’s U.S. and global discovery science efforts.

Bioversity – A MassBio initiative that forges pathways and creates employer connections for underrepresented populations and individuals traditionally left out of life sciences careers, quickly propelling them into well-paying jobs and lifelong careers.

Cambridge Office for Tourism – For expanding its storytelling, digital engagement and authentic visitor experiences to position Cambridge as a world-class travel destination. The Office has become a vital force in shaping Cambridge in meaningful and lasting ways.

Cambridge Redevelopment Authority – Under Tom Evans’ leadership, the CRA has successfully expanded its reach well beyond its stewardship of Kendall Square, advancing a more equitable future for Cambridge’s residents and businesses. This includes creating greater opportunities for new affordable housing throughout Cambridge and supporting initiatives that strengthen the community as a whole.

Dynamic Creatures – For their leadership and innovation in creating fully custom, character-based extensions of advanced robotics platforms. Dynamic Creatures’ robots are built to engage, respond in real time, and create personal, attentive, and memorable moments. They bring brand and character experiences into the physical world for hotels, resorts, attractions, and entertainment venues worldwide.

Harvard Crimson Summer Academy – An innovative summer program that combines academics, mentorship, and cultural enrichment to help ninth graders prepare for college and beyond. The program supports growth, connection, and a strong sense of community.

MIT Health and Life Sciences Collaborative (HEALS) – For their forward-thinking and innovative collaborations that are advancing human health and the life sciences, they harness MIT’s world-class expertise to address complex challenges through bold research, life-centered innovation, data sharing, and transformative education. Together, these efforts are driving breakthroughs that improve lives while empowering the next generation of leaders in science, health, and innovation.

The Platform at 585 Kendall – Eight years in the making, this transformative BioMed project brings together visionary design, sustainability, the arts, and community through a dynamic partnership between BioMed Realty and Global Arts Live, with multi-year support from Takeda for The Platform’s main theater. Together, they’ve created an inspiring new cultural destination where artists and the community can connect, engage, and experience the power of live performance.
